Miami, Florida(Hexa PR Wire–June 24, 2026)–Jesse Berezovsky, professor of physics at Case Western Reserve University, appeared on The Michael Peres Podcast to discuss quantum mechanics, quantum computing, and his approach to making complex quantum concepts accessible to students and the general public. Berezovsky’s lab at Case Western designs and creates new systems aimed at enabling scalable room-temperature quantum technology, and his work bridges fundamental research with practical educational outreach.
The discussion on The Michael Peres Podcast centered on the intersection of quantum research and quantum education. Berezovsky addressed how quantum mechanics differs from classical intuition, the role of visualization and analogy in teaching quantum concepts, and the practical importance of building accessible educational resources alongside laboratory research. His Catland tutorial exemplifies this commitment, offering a structured introduction to quantum phenomena without requiring advanced mathematical background.
The appearance reflects growing interest in quantum technology and education across academic and entrepreneurial communities. As quantum computing advances from theoretical research into practical applications, the need for trained researchers and informed practitioners continues to grow. Educational initiatives like Catland help expand the pipeline of people capable of understanding and contributing to quantum science and engineering.
About Jesse Berezovsky
Jesse Berezovsky is professor of physics at Case Western Reserve University. He received his PhD in physics from UC Santa Barbara in 2007 and held a research position at Harvard before joining Case Western. His laboratory designs and develops new systems intended to enable scalable room-temperature quantum technology. Berezovsky teaches courses on quantum mechanics and quantum computing, and has created Catland, an online quantum tutorial that aims to explain quantum mechanics from fundamental wave concepts to observable classical reality.
About Michael Peres
Michael Peres is a serial tech entrepreneur, software engineer, mathematician, and radio host. He is the CEO and founder of four successful technology start-ups, two media organizations, and The Michael Peres Podcast, a technical science podcast. Peres provides software engineering expertise to a portfolio of hundreds of successful companies, start-ups, and prominent figures. He holds advanced degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Data Communications, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. Peres has developed a particular interest in exploring the mindsets of life’s outliers-extraordinary people who have leveraged their perceived limitations to achieve success. His work focuses on sharing these stories to provide strength and inspiration to those seeking their own path in life.
